Harvest at Vigna delle Querce: a morning together

On 25 September, some of our guests joined us for the grape harvest at Vigna delle Querce. Among the vines, red crates and freshly picked bunches, we shared a morning that means a great deal to our farm.

These photographs capture that moment: the landscape opening out beyond the vines, the care taken to cut a bunch of grapes, the smile of the person holding it. It is a simple, personal way to discover Terre di Giorgio by spending a few hours in the life of the farm.

The 25 September harvest, through our guests’ photographs

Three harvests, three different paths

The 2026 vintage began to take different paths in the vineyard. Our Diana 2026 rosé comes from selected Sangiovese grapes from all our vineyards, picked on 7 September. The 24 September harvest at Vigna Diana is destined for CALUS 2026 wine. Vigna delle Querce, harvested on 25 September, will give us a new wine whose name is still to be chosen.

Our vineyards lie at around 600 metres above sea level in Val d’Orcia. We grow native Tuscan grape varieties and work with the character of each individual plot. This is where our pursuit of quality begins: knowing the land, observing the grapes and choosing the right moment to harvest.

Will we meet among the vines in 2027?

That morning left us wanting to share the harvest again with those who stay with us. For the 2027 season, we are preparing an experience for our guests: getting to know the vineyard, meeting the people who care for it and spending time at the harvest.

If you would like to join us, please get in touch. We will explain how to take part once the dates are set: in the vineyard, it is the ripening grapes that set the pace.
